    🛒 SHOPPING INFORMATION

How can I identify an authentic hand-painted Thangka vs. a print?
At VanmoCraft, every piece in our collection is 100% hand-painted by master artists following traditional Tibetan guidelines. To verify authenticity:

    • Lines & Texture: Authentic Thangkas feature fluid, natural brushstrokes with subtle variations (prints have rigid, uniform lines).
    • Pigment Layers: Our art uses natural mineral pigments (cinnabar, lapis lazuli, 24K gold) applied in layered washes—prints show flat, synthetic color.
    • Back & Details: Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity, including artist info and creation process documentation cert🔒.
What is the production time for a made-to-order (custom) Thangka?
    • Standard Pieces: In-stock Thangkas ship within 3–5 business days after payment.
    • Custom Commissions: Hand-painted custom Thangkas require 15–45 days (varies by size/detail). We’ll provide a detailed timeline and progress updates during creation.
What sizes and styles of Thangkas do you offer?
We curate a diverse range to suit every need:

    • Miniature Zhatak (Pocket Thangka): 5–15cm (ideal for meditation/portable blessings).
    • Standard 供奉 (Devotional): 30cm–80cm (perfect for home altars, meditation spaces).
    • Large Statement Pieces: 80cm+ (stunning for homes, offices, or cultural decor).
    • Styles: Kham, U-Tsang, Newari (Nepalese), and Mandala (Sacred Geometry) Thangkas.
Do you ship internationally? What about shipping costs?
Yes! We offer global shipping to over 50 countries (including the US, EU, Saudi Arabia, and Japan).

    • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on destination, package weight, and size. High-value orders receive free expedited shipping with insurance.
    • Delivery: International orders typically arrive in 5–12 business days (varies by customs processing).
What happens if my Thangka arrives damaged?

    1. Contact our support team within 48 hours of delivery.
    2. Share photos of the damage and packaging.

How do I care for and display my Thangka properly?
o preserve your Thangka’s beauty and spiritual value:

    • Display: Hang in a clean, dry area away from direct sunlight (fades pigments) and high humidity. Avoid hanging over a stove or in a dusty space.
    • Cleaning: Gently dust with a soft, dry brush (e.g., a makeup brush). Do not use water or cleaning solutions.
    • Storage: When not displayed, roll it gently around a acid-free tube (we include this with purchases) and store in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding.
What is the spiritual significance of a Thangka?
A Thangka is far more than art—it is a sacred vessel for meditation, prayer, and spiritual connection.

    • Meditation Tool: Depicts deities, mandalas, and teachings to aid focus and mindfulness.
    • Cultural Legacy: Carries the wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism, Himalayan art, and ancient traditions.
    • Blessing: Many of our Thangkas are blessed by qualified Lamas (monks) before shipment, infusing them with positive energy.
